We stood together at this vigil to raise awareness of the disease of addiction, to open the doors to recovery, and to bring HOPE to those who desperately need it. Shining a light on recovery was our goal, honoring those who discovered recovery, those who are still struggling to find recovery, or in memory of those who lost the battle to this tragic and misunderstood disease.
The message was clear that people in recovery can live a healthy, full and productive life. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those struggling with addiction and mental health illness. This vigil highlighted the stories of real people who are in long-term recovery from mental health and addiction and their stories of health and wellness.
A special note of warm and deep appreciation to everyone who helped make this vigil a great success! When people choose to donate their time, energy, talent, hard work, and skills to support a community organization, the impact is immeasurable.
